How can you reach your audiences?
The key to effective communication, whether it's direct from your website or through some kind of intermediary such as a blogger or a journalist, is to know what interests the reader. If you know their drivers, you can focus your stories directly to them.

But even that's not enough. You have to choose which of your core offerings will best differentiate you. You need to shape them for your target audiences. And you need to know how to handle interviewers for mutual benefit. Even the awkward ones...

So how can we help you?
David Tebbutt and Martin Banks (the greybeards) have been running media skills training events for over 20 years. They bring intelligence and humour to the task and cover the needs of the media, message development and interview behaviour.

Standard courses are very practical, with a messaging workshop and two kinds of interview practice. Everyone gets personal attention in order to maximise their confidence in working with the media.

Some examples
Choosing examples from hundreds of courses and thousands of delegates is not easy. The bespoke courses stand out more than the more typical one-day and half-day events. Maybe it's best to see what a couple of clients have said:

Senior VP Marketing:
"Over ten years and through three companies I've worked with David & Martin to provide advice and guidance on product and corporate messaging, press training and general communications. The advice and training is expert, relevant, pragmatic and pulls no punches, it's also enjoyable. I simply have no reservations about engaging David and Martin or recommending them to anyone."
- Mainly one-day courses for four to six delegates

Corporate Communications Director:
"It was, as usual, a pleasure - and a lot of fun - working with you. Thanks for such a good session. In addition to the feedback you got, everything that I subsequently heard from the participants was positive."
- A bespoke half-day workshop for 12 people

Some detail
Standard media skills courses use an 'aide memoire' which covers messaging, reader, interviewer, delivery and control.

A full-day course works best with four people but up to six can be accommodated. The half-day course for up to three people drops a formal 'tricks of the trade' session and has two, rather than three, practical sessions. It is designed for people in a hurry, who need the basics and some practice.

All courses are run in confidence and no material disclosures find their way into the outside world without your explicit permission.
